Tim Rice's latest stage musical
From Here To Eternity may have been a disappointment in London, but it will not go from here into eternal oblivion. American producers have announced plans to film the show for a release for U.S. movie theatres later this year. A 2015 Broadway production slated for 2015 may follow. The musical based on James Jones' 1951 debut novel that's best known for the 1953 Oscar-winning film that starred Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr, Frank Sinatra and Montgomery Clift, has run in the West End for six months at the Shaftesbury.
