Simplicity's The Goal

“The art of art, the glory of expression and the sunshine of the light of letters, is simplicity.”

  1. In "Terres des hommes" Antoine De Saint Exupery said "Not when we cannot add anything more perfection is reached, but when we cannot take off anything more." Very zen, I suppose (but Exupery did not refer to oriental wisdom). I am just listening to Mozart's "Figaro" in this moment. Mozart's kind of perfection is the one you reach when you cannot add anything more (but the Jannitscharenchor he added at the last moment after request..."I muss eu gschind no a was reinschmian!"). In Mozart's art simplicity and complexity are well balanced.
